2015 and 2016 updates

All the infrastructure creating easy public access in and around White Downs is now in place . If you are visiting the Men an Tol , just carry on walking up Coronation Lane for about half of a mile to Four Parishes and look for the information sign on the left .
Bostraze Nature Reserve
This also has total and easy public access . To get there ; park in the Woon Gumpus car park ( known locally as “The Stone Plot ” ). Walk along the “North Road ” towards Penzance for a quarter of a mile ,then turn right into Water Lane . Follow Water Lane down to the Reserve . Or give me a call on 07733 147 247 to clarify the route
Springs Farm , Pendeen
We took over the management of this farm after the previous manager , Mr Brian Williams , passed away . Brian looked after Springs Farm for about forty years and we often worked with him so we had the advantage of knowing the farm well .
In 2016 we have introduced a field silage clamp to try to eliminate the huge amount of waste plastic generated from using the round bales of silage for winter feed . We have full E.A. approval for this experiment . The plan is for the cattle to self feed from the silage clamp face ,thus reducing tractor movements. The picture attached to this update shows how the silage clamp is built.
